"Never think that a small action done to your neighbor is not worth much.
It is not how much we do that is pleasing to God, but how much love we put into that doing."

- Mother Theresa

The Art & Environment Committee combines the talents
and abilities of skilled artists and craftspeople
in order to enhance the beauty of our liturgical celebrations.

This committee consists of men and women
who are skilled in woodworking, sewing, drawing and floral arrangement
as well as others who simply provide a "helping hand"
whenever and wherever needed.
The group plans, prepares and creates the environment
for the seasons of the liturgical year
as well as special events and occasions.

++++++++++++++++++++++

The Liturgy Committee serves as a "think tank"
to the parish liturgy director.
Through prayer and studying the liturgy documents of the church
as well as considering the prescribed seasonal scriptural readings,
the group makes recommendations as to specific ritual prayers and actions
as well as musical suggestions.

In order to stay up to date
on current liturgical thought and theology,
attending various workshops, classes and seminars on liturgy
and spiritual formation plays an important part
of the responsibilities of this committee.

++++++++++++++++++++++

The two committees combine efforts by meeting on a monthly basis,
according to the mutual agreement of the members.
They continuously work in education and formation
to provide the best possible liturgical experience
for our parish community.

Together, they project and plan
the liturgical direction of the parish community,
based on the liturgical year, scripture readings,
as well as political and social events by which we are effected.
Furthermore, they provide spiritual and academic formation
of the community with regard to the liturgical celebration.
